Carl originally hails from upstate NY, where he also studied acting at Syracuse University. He is currently based in NYC, where he works primarily as an actor (most known for his recurring role as Oliver in Hulu’s “The Path”) and a fight director. Carl got involved in armored combat a year and a half ago, starting out by winning an episode of “Knight Fight” on History. He remained active in the sport, and now serves as captain for the Brooklyn Armored Combat Team. Carl was inspired to create this documentary by the stories of veterans within the sport, and how Armored Combat has helped them find stability.
